As you embark on your academic journey, you may also want to explore the world beyond the classroom. And volunteering offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills, passions, and knowledge to create positive change in the community and the world. It's a chance to gain real-world experience, develop valuable skills, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
This page is a work in progress and will be further enhanced. If you have any specific input, feel free to share via the feedback form: https://tally.so/r/w2Lz69.

Below are some options to consider for volunteering:
- HandsOn Hong Kong: At HandsOn Hong Kong you can find a wide range of volunteer projects and one-off events tailored to your interests and schedule through their online calendar: https://www.handsonhongkong.org/project-calendar.
- Foundation for Shared Impact (FSI): FSI helps connect prospective volunteers with relevant organisations to maximise impact. Overall, the organisation helps high-impact organizations reach their full potential, resolve bottlenecks, maximize resources, and scale their social impact toward solving society’s most challenging problems. Email [email protected] with more details about how/what you are looking to volunteer in regards to. You can also visit www.shared-impact.com to explore their initiatives.
- Impact Lab: For those seeking hands-on experience at the intersection of business and social impact, Impact Lab, an open elective HKU course managed by the warden David Bishop, offers experiential learning opportunities at social enterprises. Learn more at: www.impact-lab.co
- Student societies: Getting involved with student societies can be a valuable way to gaining hands-on experience. Consider learning more about the SCSH Student Association (and its subcommittees and teams) and HKU’s Clubs & Societies.
- Suen Chi Sun Hall: There are many ways to contribute and get involved with the hall and improving the experience for peers at Suen Chi Sun Hall. You may consider helping enhance the guides and information at Suen Chi Sun Hall Wiki, or getting involved in existing or creating new initiatives at SCSH. You may contact the hall management staff or the warden to explore such alternatives. Alternatively, you can also directly contribute by submitting Notion Wiki Feedback, and submitting neighbourhood activities to enhance the Wiki.
